How have you reacted to the new period, marked by the pandemic, that has started in 2020 ?
JAG naturally had to face strong and unprecedented constraints in 2020 : postponement of investment projects, end of physical meetings, cancellation of events, logistic blockages, ... The group’s adaptation was made by giving priority to digital exchanges, both internal and external, and by reassessing some processing priorities. The change in working methodologies has been quite radical, but beneficial.
Which innovation(s) or product(s) have you developed in 2020 and would like to highlight ?
The diversification of the customer panel and the Robotics and Automation projects were equally striking. Indeed, even within very traditional sectors, some companies wanted to take advantage of this turbulent period to emerge better equipped, more productive, flexible and secure. In the biotechnology sector, JAG has helped to integrate advanced solutions in the fight against COVID-19. Three industrial facilities are thus actively involved in the development of the vaccine and drugs against the virus. Finally, in Switzerland, a new generation of mobile robots offering targeted disinfection using UV-C is being deployed in hospitals, clinics, shopping centres and offices, facilitating a return to normal life .
Could you share your personal “motto”, which accompanies you in this particular moment and reflects your entrepreneurial philosophy ?
In the end, perhaps one day we will remember that in 2020, a year of glitches, many technical, organisational and moral jewels were revealed ?
Comment avez-vous réagi à la période inédite, marquée par la pandémie, qui s’est ouverte cette année ?
JAG a naturellement dû faire face à des contraintes fortes et inédites en 2020 : report de projets d’investissements, fin des rencontres physiques, annulation d’évènements, blocages logistiques, ... L’adaptation du groupe s’est faite en privilégiant les échanges numériques, internes et externes, et en réévaluant certaines priorités de traitement. Le changement des méthodologies de travail a été assez radical, mais bénéfique.
Quelle(s) innovation(s) ou produit(s) avez-vous développé en 2020 et souhaitez mettre en avant ?
La diversification du panel de clients et des projets de Robotique et d’Automatisation ont été tout aussi marquants. En effet, au sein même de secteurs très traditionnels, certaines entreprises ont souhaité mettre à profit cette période turbulente pour en ressortir mieux équipées, plus productives, flexibles et sécurisées.
Dans le secteur des biotechnologies, JAG a aidé à intégrer des solutions de pointe dans le cadre de la lutte contre le COVID-19. Ainsi, trois installations industrielles participent activement au développement du vaccin et de médicaments contre le virus.
Enfin, en Suisse, une nouvelle génération de robots mobiles offrant une désinfection ciblée grâce aux UV-C est déployée au sein d’hôpitaux, cliniques, centres commerciaux et bureaux, facilitant le retour à une vie normale.

Au final, peut-être un jour retiendrons-nous qu’en 2020, année à pépins, furent révélées de nombreuses pépites techniques, organisationnelles et morales ?

JAG sah sich im Jahr 2020 natürlich starken und neuen Herausforderungen ausgesetzt : Verschiebung von Investitionsprojekten, keine physischen Sitzungen, Absage von Veranstaltungen, logistische Blockaden, etc.
Der Gruppe hat sich angepasst, indem Sie dem digitalen Austausch, sowohl intern als auch extern, neue Priorität gesetzt und bestimmte Verarbeitungsprioritäten neu bewertet hat. Die Änderungen, der Arbeitsmethoden war ziemlich radikal, aber vorteilhaft.
Welche Innovation(en) oder Produkt(e) haben Sie im Jahr 2020 entwickelt, die Sie hervorheben möchten ?
Die Diversifizierung des Kundenkreises und die Projekte im Bereich Robotik und Automation waren ebenso auffällig. Tatsächlich wollten einige Unternehmen sogar in sehr traditionellen Sektoren diese turbulente Zeit nutzen, um besser, produktiver, flexibler und sicherer für die Zukunft gerüstet zu sein.
Im Biotechnologiesektor hat JAG dazu beigetragen, modernste Lösungen im Kampf gegen COVID-19 zu integrieren. Infolgedessen sind drei Industrieanlagen aktiv an der Entwicklung von Impfstoffen und Medikamenten gegen das Virus im Einsatz.
In der Schweiz schliesslich wird in Spitälern, Kliniken, Einkaufszentren und Büros eine neue Generation von mobilen Robotern eingesetzt, die eine gezielte Desinfektion mittels UV-C bieten und die Rückkehr zum normalen Leben erleichtern.

Am Ende werden wir uns vielleicht eines Tages daran erinnern, dass 2020 ein Jahr war, in dem viele technische, moralische und organisatorische Fragen gestellt wurden. Neue Herausforderungen und Entwicklungen haben uns dann begleitet.
